National Library Shelfie Day
- Description
-
The New York Public Library created National Library Shelfie Day in 2014 to inspire global citizens to document and distribute library selfies of themselves. The event requires you to photograph yourself standing next to library shelves on this special date.
We aim to promote local library access to hundreds of books for all ages while encouraging people to develop their love of learning and reading. During National Library Shelfie Day you can promote volunteering services at libraries and encourage book donations by asking more people to support these causes.
